Following its November 2022 migration, Berita 99 (berita.99.co) was continuously and heavily impacted by Google Core Updates, including a sharp mid-cycle drop that pulled daily traffic down to roughly 100,000 clicks. I led the recovery and growth effort such as upgrading content to meet E-E-A-T, consolidating duplicate and cannibalizing pages, rebuilding internal linking post-migration, and implementing schema markup, alongside trend-based content creation, relaunching related articles, and high-quality imagery. The site climbed to a record 505,841 clicks in a single day on August 1, 2023. The main strategies are almost identical, on a foundation of strong E-E-A-T, clean content structure, and schema markup. The result was roughly 7× year-over-year growth: Discover clicks rose from 221K to 1.54M (+597%) and impressions from 6.16M to 47.8M (+676%), while CTR held strong at 3.2%.
